TAMPA BAY AREA AND PINELLAS COUNTY 

Located directly on the ocean along the Pinellas Suncoast, Coral Shores Resort is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on the west and the Intracoastal Waterway on the east. Here you can stroll for miles on some of the world's finest beaches, swim in the sparkling Gulf of Mexico, dine in gourmet restaurants, enjoy the festive Suncoast nightlife and, visit famous theme park attractions.

 

Coral Shores Resort is conveniently located to everything from shops to fine restaurants and entertainment spots. Special facilities at the resort include a whirlpool spa, beachfront swimming pool, kayaks, gas grill and a shuffleboard court.

The Pinellas Suncoast has 28 miles of beach, fronting cities including Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, Tampa and St. Petersburg. The gulf waters are perfect for boating, wave running, swimming, skiing, snorkeling and surfing. There’s great fishing and plenty of charters and other group activities in this area.

Sports fans can enjoy the Tampa Bay Rays for Major League Baseball, the Tampa Bay Lightning, for professional hockey, Tampa Bay Bucs for professional football and dog racing in both St. Petersburg and Tampa, horse racing at Tampa Downs, & professional softball in Clearwater. There are dozens of golf courses and tennis facilities in the area, . There are also many educational and cultural attractions, such as Clearwater Marine Science Center & Sea Aquarium, the Performing Arts Center & Theater (Ruth Eckerd Hall) and the famous Salvador Dali Museum. Also, the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, the International museum in downtown St. Petersburg, and the performing Arts center in Tampa hold marvelous events throughout the year.

 

North Redington Beach, Redington Beach and Redington Shores form a residential area on the Holiday Isles barrier chain that parallels the St. Petersburg mainland. There are several public piers for fishing in the surrounding area, as well as charters for deep sea and watercraft rentals.

 

Holiday Isles Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is a refuge for injured and crippled birds. Other attractions of interest include the Tarpon Springs Sponge Museum, Docks and Exchange. Walt Disney World, Bush Gardens, Cypress Gardens, Sunken Gardens, Universal Studios and Sea World are all within easy driving distance.
